Internet access is available to Tenants of TechCity. There are three primary ISPs, one of whom is onsite. They are listed below. TechCity is THE PLACE for Internet Access and where to move your business if you want fast, reliable Internet access at the lowest rates. Only here at TechCity can you scale your Internet access bandwidth to whatever speed your business requires, get a fast installation, and pay the most affordable prices for service.

The RBOC, Verizon, provides business DSL services to smaller tenants in TechCity that just want to surf the web. These connections are directly attached to the copper cable plant in TechCity and then connect on to the Verizon central office nearby. See the links on right side of this page for more information.

Imagine.com Telecommunications, Inc., a TechCity tenant, provides Internet access onsite. Imagine.com is a focused ISP, (BISP-Building ISP) providing World Class High Speed Internet Access only to TechCity tenants. Imagine.com also provides basic services such as business web hosting, email hosting, and domain name services for TechCity tenants. Imagine.com provides ISP support services to several software developers onsite. Imagine.com hosts this TechCity website and is the website developer.

Imagine.com also provides more specialized services on and offsite such as Voice over IP(VoIP) Network Architecture and Consulting, Virtual Private Network(VPN) Architecture and Consulting, IPv4-IPv6 Architecture and Consulting, Global IP Network Consulting, Network Architecture and Engineering, Firewall-IDS Security Consulting, Content Architecture and Services, Network Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting and Network Audit and Review. More complex technical services are also available.

For Internet access, typical tenant customers purchase one (1) Megabit of capacity to start (about a T-1, but cheaper and more reliable), and are connected by a 10/100 Megabit Ethernet cable (Cat 5 100BaseT or fiberoptic 100BaseF) to Imagine.com. From a connection provided by Imagine.com, tenants can serve out webpages, ftp and email and surf out to the Internet. All Internet connections are monitored by network software to assure maximum uptime and reliability. Bandwidth is purchased in fixed one (1) Megabit increments and/or burstable increments or a combination from one (1) to a hundred (100+) Megabit capacities. National optical connectivity for large corporations at OC-48 for VPNs or MPLS is also available. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are available if required. Quality of Service (QoS) for VoIP is available. Webpage usage graphs are provided to give monthly utilization reports of bandwidth. Imagine.com has fiberoptic connectivity to the Internet backbones and provides multiplatform services to tenants with UNIX, Windows and Mac OS based computer networks. The fiberoptic cable provider Hudson Valley DataNet, a highly regarded regional fiber provider/utility (see both the FiberOptic webpage and the Telecommunications webpage) also provides Internet Access to TechCity. Their lit Internet fiber can connect TechCity Tenants to the Internet. HV DataNET can provide Internet access in five (5) to a hundred (100+) Megabit capacities. Bandwidth is purchased in fixed Megabit increments.
