Alan Ginsberg
Chairman
Alan Ginsberg began his real estate career in 1973 as a salesperson
for a New York City-based firm that specialized in commercial lease
transactions. Within three years, he became the firm’s top
producer, and by 1980 founded his own company, The Ginsberg
Organization. Within the next decade and a half, Mr. Ginsberg
arranged the sale or lease of millions of square feet of commercial
space to local, national and global corporations across a broad
spectrum of uses ranging from headquarters offices and high-end
retail, to manufacturing and back office administrative functions.
In one of the most significant transactions in New York State’s
Hudson Valley, Mr. Ginsberg purchased the TechCity campus from IBM in
February 1998. The 2.5 million-square-foot complex, built by IBM
over a span of nearly 40 years, employed 7,000 employees at its peak
and was an economic mainstay of the region. Since then, Mr. Ginsberg
has taken a key role in the revitalization of the Hudson Valley,
working to restore the thousands of jobs that were lost in recent years.
Today, Mr. Ginsberg envisions TechCity as a national model for large
scale green redevelopment. He has taken bold steps to restore the
land beneath the 260-acre site, and to convert the complex to an
environmentally friendly office and light manufacturing center.
Outmoded and wasteful energy sources are being converted to
sustainable, non-polluting forms throughout TechCity, further
improving the local environment. In the near future, a Center of
Excellence will be established at TechCity to explore further the
best green initiatives for corporate America.
Mr. Ginsberg directs all aspects of the redevelopment of TechCity.
His creative and aggressive marketing efforts have already attracted
major office and green manufacturing tenants, moving the project
toward its goal of becoming a center for green collar jobs, led by
forward-thinking business leaders.

President
Daniel E. Wieneke is a highly experienced strategic planner, business
and financial manager and an internationally recognized, pioneering
expert in the field of large-scale economic redevelopment projects.
With more than 30 years of hands-on business management success, Mr.
Wieneke brings a highly confident, entrepreneurial approach to every
project.
At TechCity, Mr. Wieneke is the lead business development executive.
He is also responsible for TechCity’s overall operations, marketing
and planning, as well as its government and community relations.
He is most well known for his leadership of the redevelopment of the
5,000-acre former Plattsburgh Air Force Base in upper New York
State’s “North Country.” As President & CEO of the Plattsburgh
Airbase Redevelopment Corporation, Mr. Wieneke essentially
transformed an abandoned Strategic Air Command military installation
into a thriving, self-sufficient business park, reducing its complete
redevelopment timeline from 25 to 40 years to less than eight years.
In addition to attracting and retaining U.S. and foreign-based
businesses to the site, Mr. Wieneke spearheaded the project’s
designation as an Empire Zone and Foreign Trade Zone.
Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Adirondack
Economic Development Corporation and Regional President of the
Adirondack Bank.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wieneke distinguished himself by being
part of a management team for a pharmaceutical company that increased
sales from $5 million to $25 million over a 10-year period.
